The grotto holds a monthly meeting on the 4th Wednesday of the month from January to November, has members actively caving in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Indiana. Trips are planned throughout the year and are posted to the grotto google calendar and social media.

GSP Open House
May 16 to May 18
GSP Open House is the preserve's largest and most public-facing event where the Great Saltpetre Preserve & Cave are open to the general public. This is a GREAT opportunity to meet our neighbors down there, and the volunteers always have a great time! GSP Open House success happens because we have wonderful volunteers. {Thank you!} There are various volunteer opportunities before and during Open House.
