The Youth Section has developed a document that details the COG's minimum requirements that must be met before a COG member will lead a youth group (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Church groups, etc) on a cave trip. This document is a living document -- it is constantly updated based on the experiences of previous led trips and is designed to prevent as many problems before they occur!

This document is meant to help the COG meet the requirements set aside by the NSS Board of Governors and the Boy Scouts of America. Please refer to these guides for more information before leading any youth trip. The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) publishes a guide that specifically addresses the BSA requirements for caving trips for Boy Scouts.
